European exchanges are expected to open slightly higher on Thursday, taking their lead from a higher close on Wall Street. In the U.K. the FTSE 100 is expected to open around 20 points higher, the German DAX around 25 points higher and the French CAC around 10 points higher.
In focus will be shares of Barclays after the New York Attorney General filed a securities fraud lawsuit against them for giving an unfair edge to its U.S. high frequency trading clients even though it claimed to be protecting other customers from the traders.
